Free guide · For furniture brands and retailers

Can Meta's new shopping agent find your furniture?

Muse is Meta's new AI shopping agent, launched in the US in September. Shoppers describe what they want, like "a pet-friendly sectional under $2,000 for a small apartment", and Muse comes back with a shortlist of products.

It can only recommend what it can read. On a lot of furniture sites the dimensions sit in a drawing, the fabrics in a swatch and the details in a PDF, so Muse never sees them.

Our free guide gives you the 47 checks that decide whether Muse can find your products, and what to fix first. If you'd like a hand, we'll run the checks on your site with you.

Inside the guide

  • How Muse finds products, and why it reads your site the way a screen reader does
  • Eight checks to do this week
  • Why Muse misses furniture products: sizes shown only in a drawing, photos with no description, and fabrics that aren't listed as separate options
  • All 47 checks, grouped into nine areas, with a scorecard to track your progress
  • A monthly test you can run in Muse yourself, to see whether it's finding your products

Most furniture sites aren't set up for this yet

It's early, and nobody has a playbook. The first studies all point the same way: get your product data readable first, and the rest follows. The brands that fix it now get recommended while everyone else is still working out what Muse is.
